From the hill Monte alle Croci you have a
nice view on the ochre-coloured town of Firenze (Florence) who brought us artists as
Botticelli, Donatello, Michelangelo, Leonardo, Machiavelli, etc. When you turn around, you
see the church of San Miniato (see photo), with the typical façade in white and
green marble. We visited the church specially because we remembered the film Obsession (1976) of
Brian De Palma, with Geneviève Bujold and Cliff Robertson. Bujold was restoring one
of the paintings in the interior.
You can reach this beautiful church via Monte alle Croce: from Piazza Ferrucci, through
Viale Michelangelo and Viale Galileo.
