On Monday July 22 1996 we left from Overmere (Berlare) in Belgium for a bike trip to Santiago de Compostela. There were six of us. Four people by
bike and two were in the motor caravan.
Our objective was to travel the 2081 kilometres in 15 days. But eventually
we managed in 14 days.
Whoever undertakes a trip like this is bound to remember it for the rest of
his days.
The head wind, the heat, the steep hills, the punctures, but especially
the nice things like true friendship and enjoying nature are something we will
never forget.
By way of this site we want to privide people who would wish to embark on
a similar trip with useful and interesting information.
