The W F Jackson Collection of railway photographs in

Glasgow University Archives

W F Jackson was the last General Manager of the North British Railway Company, before the "Grouping" of the railways in 1923. He left a large collection of photographic prints, including architectural, landscape, railway station and "steamer" subjects. The railway subjects are mainly North British Railway stations, taken up to 1923, but there are also a few views of NB Railway trains, and several views of German and Norwegian railway stations and trains, taken before 1914. There are also a number of views of Clyde "steamers" (click), and other ships. The following is a small selection of the Jackson railway subjects.
