Datatrain MVS Operations
The DATATRAIN MVS Operations Training package is one of the most comprehensive training packages available today. It has an enormous amount of courseware - approximately 180 hours in total! The lessons begin at whatever level is needed; from an overview of the concepts of an Operating System & an introduction to the components of an MVS system, through to Advanced MVS Operations. Although it is designed as a training course, the MVS Operations course works as an excellent referencing tool if a student needs to look up any specific topic. They can simply select the topic they need help on and then work through that module.
All topics associated with MVS are covered, including JCL, JES2, SDSF, DB2, VTAM and CICS. Also included are console simulations including System IPL and Shutdown and MVS, CICS, VTAM and JES 2/3 commands. These are invaluable for providing experience without using live mainframe time. Console simulations may also be tailored to match any given site’s IPL and Shutdown.
The MVS Operations suite of courseware contains 180+ hours of courses covering the broad spectrum of knowledge required by today's Data Centre personnel.
