Brussels -- Belgian Deputy Prime
Minister and Foreign Minister, Louis Michel, will pay an official
visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran on June 10-13.
The Belgian Foreign Ministry in a press release Friday evening
said Michel on his return from Tehran will stop in Tbilisi, Georgia,
for bilateral discussions.
Michel's visit to Tehran is taking place amid growing relations
between the EU and Iran, IRNA reported.
The Belgium minister will embark on his visit to Tehran the day
EU foreign ministers are expected to discuss in a meeting in
Luxembourg the mandate for opening talks on a cooperation and trade
agreement between the EU and Iran.
Luxembourg's Foreign Minister, Lydie Polfer, on Thursday ended a
4-day official visit to Iran, the first by a foreign minister of
Luxembourg.
