Khatami to Visit Belgium

TEHRAN - President Seyed Mohammad Khatami has accepted an official invitation of Belgian officials to visit that country, reported the Al-Minar network.

The Belgian Foreign Minister louis michel, said that President Khatami has accepted an invitation to visit Brussels, IRNA reported.

Belgium is seeking a coordinated policy toward Iran, which is independent of the United States.

Talking at a press conference in Tehran, the Belgian foreign minister said, the European Union has launched dialogue with Iran, and the European countries' interest to expand ties with the Iran has naturally increased.
