With an obstreporous fire officer putting paid to any prospects of a
full SPK set, the evening seemed to be turning into a complete disaster.
The uninspiring Shoot Dispute peddled drivel pop but the night was restored
by the delivery of a brilliant set by Manchester's shamefully ignored Big
Flame. SPK hit the stage, pissed about with a face mask and some welding
gear, then departed.
