I've met a lot of people who liked The Sisters Of Mercy, few of them considered getting to know the music of The Sisters Of Mercy as an event that influenced the way they listened to music afterwards. It's the only time in my life I heard music of which I thought immediately that it was perfect, that this was what I was searching for in music. I saw Andrew Eldritch for the first time during a show on a local tv-station, accompanied by Patricia Morrison. They performed This corrosion and Dominion, both tracks from the album Floodland, life on a very little stage. I remember being afraid to never hear this music again. Happily, The Sisters Of Mercy weren't the unknown band I thought they were, and I got the album as a birthday present. It took me years to buy First and last and always, as in several record shops I was told Floodland was the Sisters' first album. Nine while nine and Some kind of stranger became absolute favorites. In 1992 I finally got to hear all the songs I had heard about so much; I was more than happy that Some girls wander by mistake was released. In 1998 I finally found Some boys wander by mistake in a shop in Brussels, a bootleg recording containing an alternative selection of Sisters' songs not available anymore.
