Hearing it for the first time the record Death of the west captured all of my attention. Tony Wakefords fragile voice produces a sound which makes me think of a man breaking down, balancing on a thin rope and needing al his attention not to fall off. That's what makes this kind of folk music so different from the sound that other folk musicians are producing.
Tony Wakeford also makes records under his own name.
