Why are Chips Belgian?

Who Made the First Chips?

The French as Discoverers of the Chips. Really?

French Fries
This misleading name has originated in Belgium. It happened in the First World War, when English, American, Australian and Canadian soldiers arrived in the West of the Flanders and so learned to know and to appreciate our Belgian chips. In the region around the Yzer, the only spoken language was French, and so originated the term 'French Fries'.
